About Us
Programs
NEYSA programs provide an affordable alternative to otherwise costly sports classes through creative program design and implementation. Classes may have a slightly higher player/coach ratio, but what is given up slightly in individual focus, is more than made up for in cooperative instruction, drills and group play.
The atmosphere is lively and fun, and this non-competitive environment makes for maximizing good experiences, making new friends, and most of all, creating a desire to continue with the sport..
Locations
Most programs run throughout the school year at locations with indoor facilities and have excellent off-court viewing accommodations for parents to watch their children play and learn. Additional club facilities such as exercise equipment or adult classes are not available to program players and parents as club membership is needed to take advantage of these accommodations.
Conveniently located in most areas, please refer to the Location page for more info on how to reach the facility nearest you.
Coaches
Program coaches come mainly from the clubs themselves. USPTA or USPTR certified professionals, these pros teach year round and combined, have 1000’s of hours of experience behind them having worked with players of all ages and levels. They are central to the program and have the knowledge and creativity to make class a fun and motivating experience.
Parents can always speak to their coach about their children’s progress, equipment needs, or anything else they may want to discuss.
Special Needs
The Special Needs program is geared toward individuals with developmental challenges. All classes are run by USPTA/R-certified professionals with experience working with children in the special needs community. Great care, patience, and understanding mixed with fun is a top priority, with improvement being a happy bi-product.
Players learn at their own pace through small attainable goals and successes. High school volunteers assist as shadows where needed.
